In 2015 a Harvard study linked poor indoor air quality to reduced work production in commercial buildings. The same study also determined that by reducing CO2 levels, decreasing environmental pollutants, and increasing ventilation workers production rapidly increased. Additionally, the EPA has used ultraviolet light to kill airborne microorganisms for many years.  Since then both the Communications Workers of America and the American International Health Alliance have emphasized the importance of an optimal environment for increased workplace productivity.
